Context of Exodus 8:13
11The frogs shall go away from you and your houses and your servants and your people. They shall be left only in the Nile." 12So Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried to the Lord about the frogs, as he had agreed with Pharaoh. And the Lord did according to the word of Moses. The frogs died out in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields. 14And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank. 15But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 13Moses requested: Moses predicted that the plague would stop the next day. God also predicted that Pharaoh would refuse to listen (see 8:15). These statements show an important truth. The ability to predict the future is central to God’s lordship (his rule and authority). God does not guess about what will happen. He knows what will happen. God sees the future clearly. He also directs events according to his will. Because he knows and controls the future…Read the comment

Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me--The frog, which was now used as an instrument of affliction, whether from reverence or abhorrence, was an object of national superstition with the Egyptians, the god Ptha being represented with a frog's head.
