Context of Exodus 8:13
11The frogs will go away from you and your houses. They will go away from your servants and your people. They will remain only in the river.’ 12So Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh. Then Moses prayed to the Lord about the frogs that he had brought to punish Pharaoh. And the Lord did what Moses asked. The frogs in the houses, in the yards and in the fields all died. 14The people swept the frogs together to make big heaps. There was a very bad smell over the whole country. 15But when Pharaoh saw that the trouble had gone, his mind became hard again. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron. The Lord had said that this would happen, and it did!

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 13Moses requested: Moses predicted that the plague would stop the next day. God also predicted that Pharaoh would refuse to listen (see 8:15). These statements show an important truth. The ability to predict the future is central to God’s lordship (his rule and authority). God does not guess about what will happen. He knows what will happen. God sees the future clearly. He also directs events according to his will. Because he knows and controls the future…Read the comment

Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me--The frog, which was now used as an instrument of affliction, whether from reverence or abhorrence, was an object of national superstition with the Egyptians, the god Ptha being represented with a frog's head.
