Context of Micah 6:9
7He might be happy with thousands of male sheep, or ten thousand rivers of olive oil. I have not obeyed God. I might even kill and burn my oldest son, because of that. I have done wrong things and I must pay God for that. Perhaps, if I give my own child to him, that will be enough to pay.’ 8But God has told us what is good. This is what the Lord wants from us: ‘You must be fair to other people,’ God says. ‘You must want to be kind. And you must be careful to do what I show you.’ The Lord shouts to the people in the city of Jerusalem. So it is good for us to listen carefully to what he says. ‘Listen to me, because I have the authority to punish you,’ God says. 10‘You bad people still hide valuable things that you have taken from other people. I will not forget this. You bad people use false weights to measure the food that you sell. I hate that. 11I will not excuse you people who use false weights. You are not being honest if you weigh things like that.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 9The Lord's voice crieth unto the city - No man is found to hear; but the man of wisdom will hear, תושיה tushiyah ; a word frequent in the writings of Solomon and Job, signifying wisdom, wealth, substance, reason, essence, happiness; any thing that is complete; or that which is substantial, in opposition to vanity, emptiness, mere show, unsubstantiality. When God speaks, the man of common sense, who has any knowledge of God or his own soul, will see thy…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 9The voice of the Lord crieth unto the city - that is, Jerusalem, as the metropolis of their wealth and their sin, the head and heart of their offending. “Crieth,” aloud, earnestly, intently, so that all might hear. So God says, “Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding pat forth her voice? She crieth at the gates, - unto you, O men, I cry, and my voice is to the sons of men” Proverbs 8:1, Proverbs 8:3-4; and Isaiah prophesied of John the Immerser, “the…Read the comment

Hear the rod when it is come, and you are sensible of the smart; hear what counsels, what cautions it speaks. The voice of God is to be heard in the rod of God. Those who are dishonest in their dealings shall never be…Read the comment

Compare the end of Mi 2:7. God's "name" expresses the sum-total of His revealed attributes. Contrast with this Is 26:10, "will not behold the majesty of the Lord."
