Context of Isaiah 6:8
6Then one of the seraphs flew towards me. In his hand was a piece of burning coal. He had used a tool to take it from the altar. 7He touched my mouth with the piece of coal. He said to me, ‘Look! This has touched your lips. It has taken away your sin. You are no longer guilty.’ Then I heard the voice of the Lord God. He said, ‘Is there anyone that I can send with my message? Who will go on our behalf?’ I said, ‘I am here. Send me!’ 9The Lord said, ‘Go! Tell my message to those people: “You will continue to listen, but you will never understand! You will continue to look, but you will not see anything!” 10Make them refuse to understand. Cause their ears to be deaf and their eyes to be blind. If you do not do that, they might use their eyes to see. They might use their ears to listen. They might use their minds to understand. Then they might turn back to me so that I would make them well again.’

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 8The voice of the Lord - Hebrew: “The voice of Yahweh.” He had before been addressed by one of the seraphim. Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? - The change of number here, from the singular to the plural, is very remarkable. Jerome, on this place, says that it indicates the sacrament‘ of the Trinity. The Septuagint renders it, whom shall I send, and who will go to this people?‘ The Chaldee, whom shall I send to prophesy, and who will go to teach?‘…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 8Who will go for Us?: The Lord spoke in the presence of his angels. The Bible sometimes describes this gathering as a heavenly council (a group of heavenly beings who stand before God; see also 1 Kings 22:19–22; Jeremiah 23:18, 22). Here am I: Isaiah answered quickly and willingly. God had just forgiven and cleansed him from sin. Because of this grace (God’s undeserved kindness), Isaiah was ready to serve. He committed himself to a lifetime of ministry…Read the comment

Though not a sure argument for the doctrine, for the plural may indicate merely majesty, it accords with that truth proved elsewhere. Whom ... who--implying that few would be willing to bear the self-denial which the delivering of such an unwelcome message to the Jews would require on the part of the messenger (compare 1Ch 29:5).
