Context of Micah 2:10
8But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip off the mantle with the garment from them that pass by securely, that are averse from war. 9The women of my people do ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their young children do ye take away my magnificence for ever. Arise ye, and depart; for this is not the resting-place, because of defilement that bringeth destruction, even a grievous destruction. 11If a man walking in wind and falsehood do lie, [saying,] I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink, he shall be the prophet of this people. 12I will surely assemble, O Jacob, the whole of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture: they shall make great noise by reason of [the multitude of] men.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Arise ye, and depart - Prepare for your captivity; ye shall have no resting place here: the very land is polluted by your iniquities, and shall vomit you out, and it shall be destroyed; and the destruction of it shall be great and sore. Some think this is an exhortation to the godly, to leave a land that was to be destroyed so speedily.Read the comment

It matters not where they went. “For this is not your rest.” As ye have done, so shall it be done unto you. As ye cast out the widow and the fatherless, so shall ye be cast out; as ye gave no rest to those “averse from war,” so shall ye have none Revelation 13:10. “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity; he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 6-11Verses 6-11 Since they say, "Prophesy not," God will take them at their word, and their sin shall be their punishment. Let the physician no longer attend the patient that will not be healed. Those are enemies, not only to God, but to their country, who silence good ministers, and stop the means of grace. What bonds will hold those who have no reverence for God's word? Sinners cannot expect to rest in a land they have polluted. You shall not only be…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1010. Arise ye, and depart--not an exhortation to the children of God to depart out of an ungodly world, as it is often applied; though that sentiment is a scriptural one. This world is doubtless not our "rest," being "polluted" with sin: it is our passage, not our portion; our aim, not our home (2Co 6:17; He 13:14). The imperatives express the certainty of the future event predicted. "Since such are your doings (compare Mi 2:7, 8, &c.), My sentence on you…Read the comment
