Context of Micah 2:10
8The Lord says: ‘You have become like enemies among my people. You rob people of their coats when they pass by. Even men who thought that they were safe now. You even rob men who are returning home from war. 9You rob the women among my people too. You take away their happy homes. So you take away what I want their children to enjoy. Get up and go away! You cannot remain in this place because you have made it bad. It is so bad that it will completely destroy you. 11When a person speaks false messages to you, then you believe them. They might say that you would have plenty of wine and strong drink. That is the message that you would like!’ 12‘You people of Israel, I promise to bring all of you together. I will bring back together all Israel's people who remain. I will put all of you together like sheep in a field with a wall round it. You will be like a field full of sheep. There will be a loud noise because there will be so many of you.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Arise ye, and depart - Prepare for your captivity; ye shall have no resting place here: the very land is polluted by your iniquities, and shall vomit you out, and it shall be destroyed; and the destruction of it shall be great and sore. Some think this is an exhortation to the godly, to leave a land that was to be destroyed so speedily.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 10Arise ye and depart - Go your way, as being cast out of God‘s care and land. It matters not where they went. “For this is not your rest.” As ye have done, so shall it be done unto you. As ye cast out the widow and the fatherless, so shall ye be cast out; as ye gave no rest to those “averse from war,” so shall ye have none Revelation 13:10. “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity; he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 6-11Verses 6-11 Since they say, "Prophesy not," God will take them at their word, and their sin shall be their punishment. Let the physician no longer attend the patient that will not be healed. Those are enemies, not only to God, but to their country, who silence good ministers, and stop the means of grace. What bonds will hold those who have no reverence for God's word? Sinners cannot expect to rest in a land they have polluted. You shall not only be…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1010. Arise ye, and depart--not an exhortation to the children of God to depart out of an ungodly world, as it is often applied; though that sentiment is a scriptural one. This world is doubtless not our "rest," being "polluted" with sin: it is our passage, not our portion; our aim, not our home (2Co 6:17; He 13:14). The imperatives express the certainty of the future event predicted. "Since such are your doings (compare Mi 2:7, 8, &c.), My sentence on you…Read the comment
