29And he said to them, This kind can go out by nothing but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 9:29 in other versions

Context of Mark 9:29

27But Jesus, having taken hold of him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose. 28And when he was entered into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Wherefore could not we cast him out? And he said to them, This kind can go out by nothing but by prayer and fasting. 30And going forth from thence they went through Galilee; and he would not that any one knew it; 31for he taught his disciples and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into men's hands, and they shall kill him; and having been killed, after three days he shall rise again.
