Context of Psalms 45:15
13In her chamber, the royal daughter is all glorious, her clothing embroidered with gold. 14In colorful garments she is led to the king; after her, the virgins, her companions, are brought to you. They are led in with gladness and rejoicing; they enter the king’s palace. 16Your sons will succeed your ancestors; you will make them princes throughout the land. 17I will cause your name to be remembered for all generations; therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 15With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought - They shall come forth, attending the bride, with music and songs; the procession will be one of hilarity and joy. They shall enter into the king‘s palace - That is, Moving from the palace of the royal father of the bride, or from her home, they will enter the palace of her husband, her future home. He must be our Lord as well as our Saviour; all idols must be thrown away, that we may give him our whole heart. And here is good encouragement, thus to break off from former alliances. The beauty of holiness, both on the church and on particular believers, is, in the sight of Christ, of great price, and very…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 14-1514-15. The progress of the procession is described; according to the usual custom the bride and attendants are conducted to the palace. Some for the words-- in raiment of needlework--propose another rendering, "on variegated (or embroidered) cloths"--that is, in the manner of the East, richly wrought tapestry was spread on the ground, on which the bride walked. As the dress had been already mentioned, this seems to be a probable translation.Read the comment
