Ezekiel 7:19
19They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the stumbling block that brought their iniquity.

- New International Version (NIV)“ ‘They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be treated as a thing unclean. - English Standard Version (ESV)They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing. - New King James Version (NKJV)‘They will throw their silver into the streets, And their gold will be like refuse; Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them In the day of the wrath of the Lord; They will not satisfy their souls, Nor fill their stomachs, Because it became their stumbling block of iniquity.
Context of Ezekiel 7:19
17Every hand will go limp, and every knee will turn to water. 18They will put on sackcloth, and terror will overwhelm them. Shame will cover all their faces, and all their heads will be shaved. They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the stumbling block that brought their iniquity. 20His beautiful ornaments they transformed into pride and used them to fashion their vile images and detestable idols. Therefore I will make these into something unclean for them. 21And I will hand these things over as plunder to foreigners and loot to the wicked of the earth, who will defile them.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 19They shall cast their silver in the streets - Their riches can be of no use; as in a time of famine there is no necessary of life to be purchased, and gold and silver cannot fill their bowels. It is the stumbling-block of their iniquity - They loved riches, and placed in the possession of them their supreme happiness. Now they find a pound of gold not worth an ounce of bread.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 19Shall be removed - literally, “shall be an unclean thing” Leviticus 20:21; their gold shall be unclean and abominable in their eyes. The stumblingblock of their iniquity - See Ezekiel 3:20. Their gold and silver used in making images was the occasion of their sin.Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 16-22Verses 16-22 Sooner or later, sin will cause sorrow; and those who will not repent of their sin, may justly be left to pine away in it. There are many whose wealth is their snare and ruin; and the gaining the world is the losing of their souls. Riches profit not in the day of wrath. The wealth of this world has not that in it which will answer the desires of the soul, or be any satisfaction to it in a day of distress. God's temple shall stand them in no…Read the comment

They would not even satisfy their hunger. The people would throw their silver and gold away. They would treat these riches like worthless trash (something unclean, hateful, and disgusting). They would want to get rid of them as quickly as possible.Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1919. cast ... silver in ... streets--just retribution; they had abused their silver and gold by converting them into idols, "the stumbling-block of their iniquity" (Eze 14:3, 4, that is, an occasion of sinning); so these silver and gold idols, so far from "being able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath" (see Pr 11:4), shall, in despair, be cast by them into the streets as a prey to the foe, by whom they shall be "removed" (Grotius translates as…Read the comment
