Context of Psalms 10:15
13Why has the wicked spurned and shown disrespect to God? He has said to himself, “You will not require me to account.” 14You have seen it, for You have noted mischief and vexation (irritation) to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find no more. 16The Lord is King forever and ever; The nations will perish from His land. 17O Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble and oppressed; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear to hear,

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 15Break thou the arm - Destroy his power, deprive him of his influence, that he may be no longer able to oppress. Seek out his wickedness till thou find none - All his public haunts and private ways shall be investigated; thou wilt bring all his villanies to light, and continue to inflict punishment, while there is a crime to punish. Or, "Continue to judge and punish transgressors, till not one is to be found." This agrees with the following verse.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 15Break thou the arm of the wicked - The arm is the instrument by which we effect a purpose, and especially in wielding a sword or a spear, as in battle; and if the arm is broken, we are powerless.
