Context of Luke 13:13
11And behold, there was a woman with a disabling spirit for eighteen years, bent over and completely unable to stand up straight. 12When Yeshua saw her, He called out to her and said, “Woman, you are set free from your disability.” Then He laid hands on her, and instantly she stood up straight and began praising God. 14But the synagogue leader, indignant that Yeshua had healed on Shabbat, started telling the crowd, “There are six days in which work should be done—so come to be healed on those days and not on Yom Shabbat!” 15But the Lord answered him and said, “Hypocrites! - Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 10-17Verses 10-17 Our Lord Jesus attended upon public worship on the sabbaths. Even bodily infirmities, unless very grievous, should not keep us from public worship on sabbath days. And when crooked souls are made straight, they will show it by glorifying God. Christ knew that this ruler…Read the comment
