Context of Ezekiel 16:40
38So I will judge you, as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged. Then I will bring on you the blood of fury and jealousy. 39I will give you into their hand. They will tear down your mound and break down your high places. They will strip you of your clothes and take your jewelry. They will leave you naked and bare. They will also incite an assembly against you, stone you with stones and thrust you through with their swords. 41They will set your houses on fire and execute judgment on you in the sight of many women. So I will cause you to stop your harlotry. You will never again pay for a lover. 42So I will calm My fury against you and My jealousy will turn away from you. Then I will be quiet and angry no longer.

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 38-4038-40. judge thee, as women that break wedlock--(Le 20:10; compare Eze 16:2).
