Context of 1 Kings 7:17
15He fashioned the two bronze pillars, 18 cubits high and 12 cubits in circumference each. 16He also made two capitals of molten bronze to set upon the tops of the pillars (the height of each capital was five cubits), nettings of latticework and twisted threads of chain work for the capitals were on top of the pillars—seven for the one capital and seven for the other capital. 18So he made the pillars with two rows of pomegranates all around on the netting covering the capitals on top of each capital. 19The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the portico were of lily design, four cubits high.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 17Nets - Rather “Nets chequerwise, and festoons chainwise,” - probably a fine network over the whole, and chainwork hanging in festoons outside. Seven for the one chapiter - The Septuagint reading is preferable. “A net for the one chapiter and a net for the other chapiter.” Compare 1 Kings 7:41.Read the comment

"Jachin," God will fix this roving mind. It is good that the heart be established with grace. "Boaz," In him is our strength, who works in us both to will and to do. Spiritual strength and stability are found at the door of God's temple, where we must…Read the comment
