1 Samuel 18:5-9
5And DavidH1732 went outH3318 wherever SaulH7586 sentH7971 him, and behaved himself wiselyH7919: and SaulH7586 setH7760 him over the menH582 of warH4421, and he was acceptedH3190 in the sightH5869 of all the peopleH5971, and also in the sightH5869 of Saul’sH7586 servantsH5650.1
6And it came to pass as they cameH935, when DavidH1732 had returnedH7725 from the slaughterH5221 of the PhilistineH6430, that the womenH802 came outH3318 of all the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478, singingH7891 and dancingH4246, to meetH7125 kingH4428 SaulH7586, with tabretsH8596, with joyH8057, and with instruments of musicH7991.23 7And the womenH802 spoke toH6030 one another as they playedH7832, and saidH559, SaulH7586 hath slainH5221 his thousandsH505, and DavidH1732 his ten thousandsH7233. 8And SaulH7586 was veryH3966 angryH2734, and the sayingH1697 displeasedH3415H5869 him; and he saidH559, They have ascribedH5414 to DavidH1732 ten thousandsH7233, and to me they have ascribedH5414 thousandsH505: and what can he have more but the kingdomH4410?4 9And SaulH7586 kept a jealous eye onH5770 DavidH1732 from that dayH3117 and onwardH1973.
