Context of Psalms 80:7
5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. 6Thou makest us a strife to our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. Restore us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 9Thou didst prepare room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.

Commentaries on Psalms 80:7
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 7Turn us again, O God of hosts - This verse is the same as Psalm 80:3, except that here the appeal is to the “God of hosts;” there, it is simply to “God.” This indicates greater earnestness; a deeper sense of the need of the interposition of God, indicated by the reference to his attribute as the leader of hosts or armies, and therefore able to save them.Read the comment
