Context of John 11:13

11These things he said: and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 12Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleepeth, he shall do well. Now Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking rest in sleep. 14Then said Jesus to them plainly, Lazarus is dead. 15And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go to him.
