Jeremiah 8:14-17

Why do we sit stillH3427? assembleH622 yourselves, and let us enterH935 into the defencedH4013 citiesH5892, and let us be silentH1826 there: for YhwhH3068 our GodH430 hath put us to silenceH1826, and given us waterH4325 of gallH7219 to drinkH8248, because we have sinnedH2398 against YhwhH3068.1

We lookedH6960 for peaceH7965, but no goodH2896 came; and for a timeH6256 of healthH4832, and behold troubleH1205!

The snortingH5170 of his horsesH5483 was heardH8085 from DanH1835: the whole landH776 trembledH7493 at the soundH6963 of the neighingH4684 of his strong onesH47; for they are comeH935, and have devouredH398 the landH776, and allH4393 that is in it; the cityH5892, and those that dwellH3427 therein.2

For, behold, I will sendH7971 serpentsH5175, cockatricesH6848, among you, which will not be charmedH3908, and they shall biteH5391 you, saithH5002 YhwhH3068.
