Revised Literal Translation
Jeremiah 14:19-22
19Hast thou utterlyH3988 rejectedH3988 JudahH3063? hath thy soulH5315 lothedH1602 ZionH6726? why hast thou smittenH5221 us, and there is no healingH4832 for us? we lookedH6960 for peaceH7965, and there is no goodH2896; and for the timeH6256 of healingH4832, and behold troubleH1205!
20We acknowledgeH3045, O YhwhH3068, our wickednessH7562, and the iniquityH5771 of our fathersH1: for we have sinnedH2398 against thee.
21Do not abhorH5006 us, for thy name’sH8034 sake, do not disgraceH5034 the throneH3678 of thy gloryH3519: rememberH2142, breakH6565 not thy covenantH1285 with us.
22Are thereH3426 any among the vanitiesH1892 of the GentilesH1471 that can cause rainH1652? or can the heavensH8064 giveH5414 showersH7241? art not thou he, O YhwhH3068 our GodH430? therefore we will waitH6960 upon thee: for thou hast madeH6213 all these things.
