2 Samuel 24:10-14
10And David’sH1732 heartH3820 smoteH5221 him afterH310 that he had numberedH5608 the peopleH5971. And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto YhwhH3068, I have sinnedH2398 greatlyH3966 in that I have doneH6213: and now, I beseech thee, O YhwhH3068, take awayH5674 the iniquityH5771 of thy servantH5650; for I have done veryH3966 foolishlyH5528. 11For when DavidH1732 was upH6965 in the morningH1242, the wordH1697 of YhwhH3068 came unto the prophetH5030 GadH1410, David’sH1732 seerH2374, sayingH559, 12GoH1980 and sayH559 unto DavidH1732, Thus saithH1696 YhwhH3068, I offerH5190 thee threeH7969 things; chooseH977 thee oneH259 of them, that I may do it unto theeH6213. 13So GadH1410 cameH935 to DavidH1732, and toldH5046 him, and saidH559 unto him, Shall sevenH7651 yearsH8141 of famineH7458 comeH935 unto thee in thy landH776? or wilt thou fleeH5127 threeH7969 monthsH2320 beforeH6440 thine enemiesH6862, while they pursueH7291 thee? or that there be threeH7969 days’H3117 pestilenceH1698 in thy landH776? now adviseH3045, and seeH7200 what answerH1697 I shall returnH7725 to him that sentH7971 me. 14And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto GadH1410, I am in a greatH3966 straitH6887: let us fallH5307 now into the handH3027 of YhwhH3068; for his merciesH7356 are greatH7227: and let me not fallH5307 into the handH3027 of manH120.1
