2 Chronicles 1:1-13

1And SolomonH8010 the sonH1121 of DavidH1732 was strengthenedH2388 in his kingdomH4438, And YhwhH3068 his GodH430 was with him, and magnifiedH1431 him exceedinglyH4605. 2Then SolomonH8010 spakeH559 unto all IsraelH3478, to the captainsH8269 of thousandsH505 and of hundredsH3967, and to the judgesH8199, and to every governorH5387 in all IsraelH3478, the chiefH7218 of the fathersH1. 3So SolomonH8010, and all the congregationH6951 with him, wentH3212 to the high placeH1116 that was at GibeonH1391; for there was the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150 of GodH430, which MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of YhwhH3068 had madeH6213 in the wildernessH4057. 4ButH61 the arkH727 of GodH430 had DavidH1732 brought upH5927 from Kirjath–jearimH7157 to the place which DavidH1732 had preparedH3559 for it: for he had pitchedH5186 a tentH168 for it at JerusalemH3389. 5Moreover the brasenH5178 altarH4196, that BezaleelH1212 the sonH1121 of UriH221, the sonH1121 of HurH2354, had madeH6213, he putH7760 beforeH6440 the tabernacleH4908 of YhwhH3068: and SolomonH8010 and the congregationH6951 soughtH1875 unto it.1 6And SolomonH8010 went upH5927 thither to the brasenH5178 altarH4196 beforeH6440 YhwhH3068, which was at the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, and offeredH5927 a thousandH505 burnt offeringsH5930 upon it.

7In that nightH3915 did GodH430 appearH7200 unto SolomonH8010, and saidH559 unto him, AskH7592 what I shall giveH5414 thee. 8And SolomonH8010 saidH559 unto GodH430, Thou hast shewedH6213 greatH1419 mercyH2617 unto DavidH1732 my fatherH1, and hast made me to reignH4427 in his stead. 9Now, O YhwhH3068 GodH430, let thy promiseH1697 unto DavidH1732 my fatherH1 be establishedH539: for thou hast made me kingH4427 over a peopleH5971 like the dustH6083 of the earthH776 in multitudeH7227.2 10GiveH5414 me now wisdomH2451 and knowledgeH4093, that I may go outH3318 and come inH935 beforeH6440 this peopleH5971: for who can judgeH8199 this thy peopleH5971, that is so greatH1419? 11And GodH430 saidH559 to SolomonH8010, Because this was in thine heartH3824, and thou hast not askedH7592 richesH6239, wealthH5233, or honourH3519, nor the lifeH5315 of thine enemiesH8130, neither yet hast askedH7592 longH7227 lifeH3117; but hast askedH7592 wisdomH2451 and knowledgeH4093 for thyself, that thou mayest judgeH8199 my peopleH5971, over whom I have made thee kingH4427: 12WisdomH2451 and knowledgeH4093 is grantedH5414 unto thee; and I will giveH5414 thee richesH6239, and wealthH5233, and honourH3519, such as none of the kingsH4428 have had that have been beforeH6440 thee, neither shall there any afterH310 thee have the like.

13Then SolomonH8010 cameH935 from his journey to the high placeH1116 that was at GibeonH1391 to JerusalemH3389, from beforeH6440 the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, and reignedH4427 over IsraelH3478.
