Context of Ezekiel 22:12
10In thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution. 11And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Yhwh. 13Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee. 14Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I Yhwh have spoken it, and will do it.

Commentaries on Ezekiel 22:12
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 6-12The charges against the people of Judah and their leaders came from God's law, especially from Leviticus 18–20; 25:1–55. Israel's many sins showed a failure to honor and trust the Lord and his commands. This unfaithfulness to their covenant with the Lord could lead to only one outcome: The people of Israel would face the covenant curses (Deuteronomy 8:19–20; 28:15–68).Read the comment
