Context of Isaiah 43:5
3For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 4Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will gather you and your children from east and west. 6I will say to the north and south, ‘Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth. 7Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’”

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 5Fear not - (see the note at Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 41:14; compare Isaiah 43:1). I will bring thy seed - Thy children; thy descendants. The sense is, I will re-collect my scattered people from all parts of the world. The passage appears to have been taken from Deuteronomy 30:3, where God promises to gather his people together again if they should be scattered among the nations, and should then repent. Vitringa understands it of the spiritual "seed" of the Church produced by mystical regeneration: for the expression is, "bring," not "bring back." This sense is perhaps included, but not to the exclusion of the literal Israel's restoration (Jr 30:10, 11; Am 9:9; Zec 2:6-13).Read the comment
