Context of Proverbs 1:25
23Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. 24Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.

Christ himself is Wisdom, is Wisdoms. Three sorts of persons are here called by Him: 1. Simple ones. In either case the address is a most solemn and divine admonition, whose matter and spirit are eminently evangelical and impressive (see on Pr 8:1).
