Context of Song of Songs 7:10
8I want to climb the palm tree, and take hold of its fruit stalks. May your breasts be like the clusters of grapes, and may the fragrance of your breath be like apricots! 9May your mouth be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together. I am my beloved’s, and he desires me! 11Come, my beloved, let us go to the countryside; let us spend the night in the villages. 12Let us rise early to go to the vineyards, to see if the vines have budded, to see if their blossoms have opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom – there I will give you my love.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 10-13Verses 10-13 The church, the believing soul, triumphs in its relation to Christ, and interest in him. She humbly desires communion with him. Let us walk together, that I may receive counsel, instruction, and comfort from thee; and may make known my wants and my grievances to thee, with freedom, and without interruption. Communion with Christ is what all that are made holy earnestly breathe after. And those who would converse with Christ, must go forth…Read the comment
