Context of Psalms 95:6
4The depths of the earth are in his hand, and the mountain peaks belong to him. 5The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land. Come! Let’s bow down and worship! Let’s kneel before the Lord, our creator! 7For he is our God; we are the people of his pasture, the sheep he owns. Let us bow down, נכרעה nichraah, let us crouch or cower down, bending the legs under, as a dog in the presence of his master, which solicitously waits to receive his commands. - Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 6O come, let us worship and bow down - Let us worship him by bowing down; by prostrating ourselves before him. The word here rendered “come” is not the same which is used in Psalm 95:1. Its literal meaning is “come,” and it is an earnest exhortation to come and worship.
