Context of Isaiah 52:12
10The Lord will show his holy power to all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. 11Run away! Run away! Get away from there! Do not touch anything unclean. Get away from it! Make yourselves pure, you Levites who carry the utensils for the Lord’s temple. You will not go away in a hurry, nor will you go away quickly. The Lord will go ahead of you. The God of Israel will guard you from behind. 13My servant will be successful. He will be respected, praised, and highly honored. 14Many will be shocked by him. His appearance will be so disfigured that he won’t look like any other man. His looks will be so disfigured that he will hardly look like a human.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 12For ye shall not go out with haste - As if driven out, or compelled to flee. You shall not go from Babylon as your fathers went from Egypt, in a rapid flight, and in a confused and tumultuous manner (see Deuteronomy 16:3). The idea here is, that they should have time to prepare themselves to go out, and to become fit to bear the vessels of the Lord. It was a fact that when they left Babylon they did it with the utmost deliberation, and had ample time to…Read the comment
