Context of Psalms 71:16
14But as for me, I will always wait for you to help me. I will continue to praise you more and more. 15I will tell people that you always do what is right. I will always speak about your power to save people. But you have done more than I will ever know about! I will tell about the great things that you have done, Almighty Lord. I will tell everyone that you are righteous. You, only you, are righteous. 17God, you have taught me since I was young. I still tell people about the great things that you have done. 18And even when I am old and my hair is grey, do not turn away from me, God. I need to tell the people still to be born about your great strength. My descendants need to know about your power.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 16I will go - אבוא abo, I will enter, i.e., into the tabernacle, in the strength or mightinesses of Adonai Jehovah, the supreme God, who is my Prop, Stay, and Support. I will make mention of thy righteousness - I will continually record and celebrate the acts of thy mercy and goodness. - Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 16I will go in the strength of the Lord God - In my future journey through life; in my trials; in my duties; in my conflicts; in my temptations. Admonished in the past of my own weakness, and remembering how often God has interposed, I will hereafter lean only on his arm, and not trust to my own strength. But thus leaning on his arm, I “will” go confidently to meet the duties and the trials of life. If one has the strength of God to lean on, or can use that…Read the comment
