Context of Psalms 69:34
32When humble people see it, they will be very happy. People who want to serve God will become strong in their lives. 33For the Lord listens to the prayers of poor people. He does not forget to help his people when they are prisoners. Heaven and earth should praise him! The seas and everything that lives in them should praise him! 35For God will rescue Zion's people. He will build again Judah's cities. Then his people will live there. The land will belong to them again. 36Then the descendants of his servants will have the land for themselves. The people who love God will live there safely.

It is a great comfort to us, that humble and thankful praises are more pleasing to God than the most costly, pompous sacrifices. The humble shall look to him, and be glad; those that seek him through Christ shall live and be comforted. God will do great things for the gospel church, in which let all who wish well to it rejoice. A seed shall…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 34-3634-36. The call on the universe for praise is well sustained by the prediction of the perpetual and extended blessings which shall come upon the covenant-people of God.
