Context of Psalms 69:34
32The poor will see and be glad— you who seek God, may your hearts live! 33The Lord hears the needy and does not despise his captive people. Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them, 35for God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah. Then people will settle there and possess it; 36the children of his servants will inherit it, and those who love his name will dwell there.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 30-36Verses 30-36 The psalmist concludes the psalm with holy joy and praise, which he began with complaints of his grief. It is a great comfort to us, that humble and thankful praises are more pleasing to God than the most costly, pompous sacrifices. God will do great things for the gospel church, in which let all who wish well to it rejoice. A seed shall…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 34-3634-36. The call on the universe for praise is well sustained by the prediction of the perpetual and extended blessings which shall come upon the covenant-people of God. Though, as usual, the imagery is taken from terms used of Palestine, the whole tenor of the context indicates that the spiritual privileges and blessings of the Church are meant.Read the comment
