Context of Psalms 141:9
7It will be like a farmer who ploughs his field, and breaks the earth into pieces. Just like that, they will break the bones of wicked people. They will throw their bones on the ground at the entrance to Sheol. 8But I look to you for help, Almighty Lord. I need you to keep me safe. Do not let wicked people kill me. They have prepared traps to catch me. Do not let me fall into the traps of those evil people. 10May those bad people fall into their own traps! Then I will be free from their power.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 5-10Verses 5-10 We should be ready to welcome the rebuke of our heavenly Father, and also the reproof of our brethren. It shall not break my head, if it may but help to break my heart: we must show that we take it kindly. Those who slighted the word of God before, will be glad of it when in affliction, for that opens the ear to instruction. When the world is bitter, the word is sweet. Let us lift our prayer unto God. Let us entreat him to rescue us from the…Read the comment
