Context of Exodus 7:2
1Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Look, I have made you like God to Pharaoh. Your brother Aaron will speak on your behalf, like your prophet. You must say everything that I command you to say. Your brother Aaron must tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3But I will make Pharaoh's mind become hard. I will do many miracles in Egypt that show my power. 4But Pharaoh will still refuse to listen to you. Then I will show my authority and I will punish the Egyptians. I will bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt like an army.

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 1-7In this final scene before the rescue begins, the Lord again answered the fear that Moses had about not speaking well. God allowed Moses to speak through Aaron (see 4:16). Even so, Pharaoh would still refuse to listen. The outcome did not depend on the ability of Moses to speak. It depended on God’s power. Moses and Aaron obeyed God’s command. They acted in faith and went forward as he directed. The first crisis had now passed (see study note on 5:22–23) .Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1-251. the Lord said unto Moses--He is here encouraged to wait again on the king--not, however, as formerly, in the attitude of a humble suppliant, but now armed with credentials as God's ambassador, and to make his demand in a tone and manner which no earthly monarch or court ever witnessed. I have made thee a god--"made," that is, set, appointed; "a god"; that is, he was to act in this business as God's representative, to act and speak in His name and to…Read the comment
