Context of Exodus 37:16
14The rings were near to the extra piece of wood. They would hold the poles to carry the table. 15He used acacia wood to make the poles and he covered them with gold. They would use the poles to carry the table. He used pure gold to make the things that would be on the table. He made plates, big spoons, jars and bowls. They would use those things to pour out drink offerings. 17Bezalel used one piece of pure gold to make the lampstand. He used a hammer to make it the right shape. He used the gold to make its base, its middle pole and the cups to hold the oil. The cups were like open flowers and closed flowers. 18There were six branches on the lampstand, three branches on each side of the middle pole.

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1-291. Bezaleel made the ark--The description here given of the things within the sacred edifice is almost word for word the same as that contained in Ex 25:1-40. It is not on that account to be regarded as a useless repetition of minute particulars; for by the enumeration of these details, it can be seen how exactly everything was fashioned according to the "pattern shown on the mount" [Ex 25:40]; and the knowledge of this exact correspondence between the…Read the comment
