Context of 1 Samuel 25:43
41Abigail bent her body down low so that her face touched the ground. She said, ‘I am happy to be David's servant. I am ready to wash the feet of his servants.’ 42Abigail quickly prepared her donkey to go with David's men. She took with her five young girls to be her servants. Abigail went to David and she became his wife. David had already married Ahinoam from Jezreel town. So these two women became his wives. 44Saul's daughter Michal had been David's wife. But Saul had then given her to Palti as his wife. Palti was the son of Laish, who came from Gallim town.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 43David also took Ahinoam - Many think that this was his wife before he took Abigail; she is always mentioned first in the list of his wives, and she was the mother of his eldest son Ammon. Of Jezreel - There were two places of this name; one in the tribe of Issachar, the other in the tribe of Judah.Read the comment

David‘s now taking two wives was an indication of his growing power and importance as a chieftain. The number was increased to six when he reigned in Hebron 1 Chronicles 3:1, and still further when he became king of all Israel 2 Samuel 5:12-13. See 1 Samuel 1:2 note. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 43Ahinoam was also the name of Saul’s wife (1 Samuel 14:50). If she was the same woman, then David married Saul’s widow after Saul died (1 Samuel 31:1–13). This would create another parallel between Nabal and Saul. However, other passages suggest they were two different women (1 Samuel 27:3; 30:5). This Jezreel was a small village in Judah, near Maon, Ziph, and Carmel (Joshua 15:55–56). It was not the better-known northern city of Jezreel.Read the comment
