Corinthians 1:21-25

For since, in the wisdom of 1God, the world by wisdom has not known 2God, 3God has been pleased by the foolishness of the preaching to save those that believe.

Since Jews indeed ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom;

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness;

but to those that [are] called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ 4God's power and 5God's wisdom.

Because the foolishness of 6God is wiser than men, and the weakness of 7God is stronger than men.
