Context of Psalms 62:10
8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before him. God is our refuge.Selah 9Common people are only a vapor; important people, an illusion. Together on a scale, they weigh less than a vapor. Place no trust in oppression or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, don’t set your heart on it. 11God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God, 12and faithful love belongs to you, Lord. For you repay each according to his works.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Trust not in oppression - Do not suppose that my unnatural son and his partisans can succeed. Become not vain in robbery - If ye have laid your hands on the spoils of my house, do not imagine that these ill-gotten riches will prosper. God will soon scatter them to all the winds of heaven. All oppressors come to an untimely end; and all property acquired by injustice has God's curse on it.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 10Trust not in oppression - The general meaning here is, that we are not to trust in anything but God. In the previous verse the psalmist had stated reasons why we should not trust in men of any rank. In this verse he enumerates several things on which people are accustomed to rely, or in which they place confidence, and he says that we should put no confidence in them in respect to the help which we need, or the great objects which are to be accomplished…Read the comment

We must so trust in him at all times, as not at any time to put that trust in ourselves, or in any creature, which is to be put in him only. Trust in him to guide us when in doubt, to protect us when in danger, to supply us when in want…Read the comment
