Context of Jeremiah 32:15
13“I charged Baruch in their sight, 14‘This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: Take these scrolls — this purchase agreement with the sealed copy and this open copy — and put them in an earthen storage jar so they will last a long time. For this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields, and vineyards will again be bought in this land.’ 16“After I had given the purchase agreement to Baruch, son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord: 17Oh, Lord God! You yourself made the heavens and earth by your great power and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 15Houses and fields - shall be possessed again - That is, this is an evidence that the captivity shall not last long: houses, etc., shall here be possessed again, either by their present owners or immediate descendants. The young might return; at least, all under ten years of age: there was no natural impossibility that they should not live till they should be fourscore.Read the comment

Someday, exiled survivors from the destruction of Judah would return, and the worthless land would become productive and valuable again. Jeremiah had already predicted that the exile would last for seventy years (Jeremiah 25:11–12; 29:10). Jeremiah's purchase showed his faith in the Lord's plan to restore his people.Read the comment
