Context of Psalms 143:4
2And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous or justified. 3For the enemy has persecuted me, He has crushed my life down to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have been long dead. Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness]; My heart grows numb within me. 5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that You have done; I ponder the work of Your hands. 6I reach out my hands to You; My throat thirsts for You, as a parched land [thirsts for water]. Selah.
