Context of Jeremiah 31:27
25For I [fully] satisfy the weary soul, and I replenish every languishing and sorrowful person.” 26At this I (Jeremiah) awoke and looked, and my [trancelike] sleep was sweet [in the assurance it gave] to me. “Behold (listen carefully), the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast. 28It will be that as I have watched over them to uproot and to break down, to overthrow, destroy, and afflict with disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant [with good],” says the Lord. 29“In those days they will not say again, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
