Context of 1 Kings 22:42
40So Ahab slept with his fathers, and his son Ahaziah became king in his place. 41Now Jehoshaphat son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel. Jehoshaphat was 35 years old when he became king, and he reigned 25 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi. 43He walked in all the ways of his father Asa, not straying from them, but doing what was right in Adonai’s eyes. 44However, they did not take away the high places, and the people continued to sacrifice and burn incense on the high places.
