Leviticus 21:1-15

1And YhwhH3068 saidH559 unto MosesH4872, SpeakH559 unto the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, and sayH559 unto them, There shall none be defiledH2930 for the deadH5315 among his peopleH5971: 2But for his kinH7607, that is nearH7138 unto him, that is, for his motherH517, and for his fatherH1, and for his sonH1121, and for his daughterH1323, and for his brotherH251, 3And for his sisterH269 a virginH1330, that is nighH7138 unto him, which hath had no husbandH376; for her may he be defiledH2930. 4But he shall not defileH2930 himself, being a chief manH1167 among his peopleH5971, to profaneH2490 himself.1 5They shall not makeH7139 baldnessH7144 upon their headH7218, neither shall they shave offH1548 the cornerH6285 of their beardH2206, nor makeH8295 any cuttingsH8296 in their fleshH1320. 6They shall be holyH6944 unto their GodH430, and not profaneH2490 the nameH8034 of their GodH430: for the offeringsH801 of YhwhH3068 made by fireH801, and the breadH3899 of their GodH430, they do offerH7126: therefore they shall be holyH6918. 7They shall not takeH3947 a wifeH802 that is a whoreH2181, or profaneH2491; neither shall they takeH3947 a womanH802 put awayH1644 from her husbandH376: for he is holyH6918 unto his GodH430. 8Thou shalt sanctifyH6942 him therefore; for he offerethH7126 the breadH3899 of thy GodH430: he shall be holyH6918 unto thee: for I YhwhH3068, which sanctifyH6942 you, am holyH6918.

9And the daughterH1323 of anyH376 priestH3548, if she profaneH2490 herself by playing the whoreH2181, she profanethH2490 her fatherH1: she shall be burntH8313 with fireH784. 10And he that is the highH1419 priestH3548 among his brethrenH251, upon whose headH7218 the anointingH4888 oilH8081 was pouredH3332, and that is consecratedH3027H4390 to putH3847 on the garmentsH899, shall not uncoverH6544 his headH7218, nor rendH6533 his clothesH899; 11Neither shall he go inH935 to any deadH4191 bodyH5315, nor defileH2930 himself for his fatherH1, or for his motherH517; 12Neither shall he go outH3318 of the sanctuaryH4720, nor profaneH2490 the sanctuaryH4720 of his GodH430; for the crownH5145 of the anointingH4888 oilH8081 of his GodH430 is upon him: I am YhwhH3068. 13And he shall takeH3947 a wifeH802 in her virginityH1331. 14A widowH490, or a divorced womanH1644, or profaneH2491, or an harlotH2181, these shall he not takeH3947: but he shall takeH3947 a virginH1330 of his own peopleH5971 to wifeH802. 15Neither shall he profaneH2490 his seedH2233 among his peopleH5971: for I YhwhH3068 do sanctifyH6942 him.
