And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, Ye cannotH3201 serveH5647 YhwhH3068: for he is an holyH6918 GodH430; he is a jealousH7072 GodH410; he will not forgiveH5375 your transgressionsH6588 nor your sinsH2403.1
If ye forsakeH5800 YhwhH3068, and serveH5647 strangeH5236 godsH430, then he will turnH7725 and do you hurtH7489, and consumeH3615 you, afterH310 that he hath done you goodH3190.
And the peopleH5971 saidH559 unto JoshuaH3091, Nay; but we will serveH5647 YhwhH3068.
And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, Ye are witnessesH5707 against yourselves that ye have chosenH977 you YhwhH3068, to serveH5647 him. And they saidH559, We are witnessesH5707.
Now therefore put awayH5493, said he, the strangeH5236 godsH430 which are amongH7130 you, and inclineH5186 your heartH3824 unto YhwhH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478.
And the peopleH5971 saidH559 unto JoshuaH3091, YhwhH3068 our GodH430 will we serveH5647, and his voiceH6963 will we obeyH8085.
