Revised Literal Translation
2 Samuel 14:12-14
12Then the womanH802 saidH559, Let thine handmaidH8198, I pray thee, speakH1696 one wordH1697 unto my lordH113 the kingH4428. And he saidH559, Say onH1696.
13And the womanH802 saidH559, Wherefore then hast thou thoughtH2803 such a thing against the peopleH5971 of GodH430? for the kingH4428 doth speakH1696 this thingH1697 as one which is faultyH818, in that the kingH4428 doth not fetch home againH7725 his banishedH5080.
14For we must needsH4191 dieH4191, and are as waterH4325 spiltH5064 on the groundH776, which cannot be gathered up againH622; neither doth GodH430 respectH5375 any personH5315: yet doth he deviseH2803 meansH4284, that his banishedH5080 be not expelledH5080 from him.1
