2 Chronicles 26:16-23
16But when he was strongH2393, his heartH3820 was lifted upH1361 to his destructionH7843: for he transgressedH4603 against YhwhH3068 his GodH430, and wentH935 into the templeH1964 of YhwhH3068 to burn incenseH6999 upon the altarH4196 of incenseH7004. 17And AzariahH5838 the priestH3548 went inH935 afterH310 him, and with him fourscoreH8084 priestsH3548 of YhwhH3068, that were valiantH2428 menH1121: 18And they withstoodH5975 UzziahH5818 the kingH4428, and saidH559 unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, UzziahH5818, to burn incenseH6999 unto YhwhH3068, but to the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, that are consecratedH6942 to burn incenseH6999: go outH3318 of the sanctuaryH4720; for thou hast trespassedH4603; neither shall it be for thine honourH3519 from YhwhH3068 GodH430. 19Then UzziahH5818 was wrothH2196, and had a censerH4730 in his handH3027 to burn incenseH6999: and while he was wrothH2196 with the priestsH3548, the leprosyH6883 even rose upH2224 in his foreheadH4696 beforeH6440 the priestsH3548 in the houseH1004 of YhwhH3068, from beside the incenseH7004 altarH4196. 20And AzariahH5838 the chiefH7218 priestH3548, and all the priestsH3548, lookedH6437 upon him, and, behold, he was leprousH6879 in his foreheadH4696, and they thrust him outH926 from thence; yea, himself hastedH1765 also to go outH3318, because YhwhH3068 had smittenH5060 him. 21And UzziahH5818 the kingH4428 was a leperH6879 unto the dayH3117 of his deathH4194, and dwelt inH3427 a severalH2669 houseH1004, being a leperH6879; for he was cut offH1504 from the houseH1004 of YhwhH3068: and JothamH3147 his sonH1121 was over the king’sH4428 houseH1004, judgingH8199 the peopleH5971 of the landH776.1
22Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of UzziahH5818, firstH7223 and lastH314, did IsaiahH3470 the prophetH5030, the sonH1121 of AmozH531, writeH3789. 23So UzziahH5818 sleptH7901 with his fathersH1, and they buriedH6912 him with his fathersH1 in the fieldH7704 of the burialH6900 which belonged to the kingsH4428; for they saidH559, He is a leperH6879: and JothamH3147 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
