2 Chronicles 24:17-27

17Now afterH310 the deathH4194 of JehoiadaH3077 cameH935 the princesH8269 of JudahH3063, and made obeisanceH7812 to the kingH4428. Then the kingH4428 hearkenedH8085 unto them. 18And they leftH5800 the houseH1004 of YhwhH3068 GodH430 of their fathersH1, and servedH5647 grovesH842 and idolsH6091: and wrathH7110 came upon JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389 for this their trespassH819. 19Yet he sentH7971 prophetsH5030 to them, to bring them againH7725 unto YhwhH3068; and they testifiedH5749 against them: but they would not give earH238. 20And the SpiritH7307 of GodH430 cameH3847 upon ZechariahH2148 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548, which stoodH5975 above the peopleH5971, and saidH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 GodH430, Why transgressH5674 ye the commandmentsH4687 of YhwhH3068, that ye cannot prosperH6743? because ye have forsakenH5800 YhwhH3068, he hath also forsakenH5800 you.1 21And they conspiredH7194 against him, and stonedH7275 him with stonesH68 at the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428 in the courtH2691 of the houseH1004 of YhwhH3068. 22Thus JoashH3101 the kingH4428 rememberedH2142 not the kindnessH2617 which JehoiadaH3077 his fatherH1 had doneH6213 to him, but slewH2026 his sonH1121. And when he diedH4194, he saidH559, YhwhH3068 lookH7200 upon it, and requireH1875 it.

23And it came to pass at the endH8622 of the yearH8141, that the armyH2428 of SyriaH758 came upH5927 against him: and they cameH935 to JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389, and destroyedH7843 all the princesH8269 of the peopleH5971 from among the peopleH5971, and sentH7971 all the spoilH7998 of them unto the kingH4428 of DamascusH1834.23 24For the armyH2428 of the SyriansH758 cameH935 with a smallH4705 company of menH582, And YhwhH3068 deliveredH5414 a veryH3966 greatH7230 armyH2428 into their handH3027, because they had forsakenH5800 YhwhH3068 GodH430 of their fathersH1. So they executedH6213 judgmentH8201 against JoashH3101. 25And when they were departedH3212 from him, (for they leftH5800 him in greatH7227 diseasesH4251,) his own servantsH5650 conspiredH7194 against him for the bloodH1818 of the sonsH1121 of JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548, and slewH2026 him on his bedH4296, and he diedH4191: and they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, but they buriedH6912 him not in the sepulchresH6913 of the kingsH4428. 26And these are they that conspiredH7194 against him; ZabadH2066 the sonH1121 of ShimeathH8100 an AmmonitessH5985, and JehozabadH3075 the sonH1121 of ShimrithH8116 a MoabitessH4125.45

27Now concerning his sonsH1121, and the greatnessH7230H7235 of the burdensH4853 laid upon him, and the repairingH3247 of the houseH1004 of GodH430, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the storyH4097 of the bookH5612 of the kingsH4428. And AmaziahH558 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.67
