Revised Literal Translation
Kings 18:1-6
And it came to pass after manyH7227 daysH3117, that the wordH1697 of YhwhH3068 came to ElijahH452 in the thirdH7992 yearH8141, sayingH559, GoH3212, shewH7200 thyself unto AhabH256; and I will sendH5414 rainH4306 uponH6440 the earthH127.
And ElijahH452 wentH3212 to shewH7200 himself unto AhabH256. And there was a soreH2389 famineH7458 in SamariaH8111.
And AhabH256 calledH7121 ObadiahH5662, which was the governor of his houseH1004. (Now ObadiahH5662 fearedH3373 YhwhH3068 greatlyH3966:12
For it was so, when JezebelH348 cut offH3772 the prophetsH5030 of YhwhH3068, that ObadiahH5662 tookH3947 an hundredH3967 prophetsH5030, and hidH2244 them by fiftyH2572H376 in a caveH4631, and fedH3557 them with breadH3899 and waterH4325.)3
And AhabH256 saidH559 unto ObadiahH5662, GoH3212 into the landH776, unto all fountainsH4599 of waterH4325, and unto all brooksH5158: peradventureH194 we may findH4672 grassH2682 to saveH2421 the horsesH5483 and mulesH6505 aliveH2421, that we loseH3772 not all the beastsH929.4
So they dividedH2505 the landH776 between them to pass throughoutH5674 it: AhabH256 wentH1980 oneH259 wayH1870 by himself, and ObadiahH5662 wentH1980 anotherH259 wayH1870 by himself.
