Context of Job 41:25

23Its flesh is hard and firm and cannot be penetrated. 24Its heart is hard as rock, hard as a millstone. When it rises, the mighty are afraid, gripped by terror. 26No sword can stop it, no spear, dart, or javelin. 27Iron is nothing but straw to that creature, and bronze is like rotten wood.

Mr. Good takes the plural termination ים im, from the first word, of which he makes the noun ים yam, the sea, and thus translates it…Read the comment
• Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 25When he raiseth up himself - When he rouses himself for an attack or in self-defense. The mighty are afraid - The Vulgate renders this “anqels.” The meaning is, that he produces alarm on those who are unaccustomed to fear.
