Context of Genesis 7:15
13That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. 14With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind. Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes. 16A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord closed the door behind them. 17For forty days the floodwaters grew deeper, covering the ground and lifting the boat high above the earth.

How then were they brought from various distances to the ark and preserved there? Only by the power of God. He who first miraculously brought them to Adam that he might give them their names, now brings them to Noah that he may preserve their lives. And…Read the comment

God shut the door, to secure him and keep him safe in the ark; also to keep all others for…Read the comment
