Context of Ezekiel 32:7
5I will lay your flesh on the mountains, And fill the valleys with your carcass. 6“I will also water the land with the flow of your blood, Even to the mountains; And the riverbeds will be full of you. When I put out your light, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, And the moon shall not give her light. 8All the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you, And bring darkness upon your land,” Says the Lord God. 9‘I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 7I will cover the heaven - Destroy the empire. Make the stars thereof dark - Overwhelm all the dependent states. I will cover the sun - The king himself. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 7-8As in the previous chapter, Pharaoh’s downfall would bring global darkness and widespread mourning. These images were often linked to the day of the Lord (see Joel 2:30). In this case, the darkness would also remind the Egyptians of the plague during the exodus (Exodus 10:21–22).Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 77. put thee out--extinguish thy light (Job 18:5). Pharaoh is represented as a bright star, at the extinguishing of whose light in the political sky the whole heavenly host is shrouded in sympathetic darkness. Here, too, as in Eze 32:6, there is an allusion to the supernatural darkness sent formerly (Ex 10:21-23). The heavenly bodies are often made images of earthly dynasties (Is 13:10; Mt 24:29).Read the comment
