Context of Psalms 132:3
1O Lord, for David’s sake remember all his strenuous effort, 2and how he made a vow to the Lord, and swore an oath to the powerful ruler of Jacob. He said, “I will not enter my own home, or get into my bed. 4I will not allow my eyes to sleep, or my eyelids to slumber, 5until I find a place for the Lord, a fine dwelling place for the powerful ruler of Jacob.”

God’s choice of Jerusalem also shows his choice: of David's family line (Psalm 132:11–13), of Zion (Psalm 132:14–17), and of the priesthood (Psalm 132:9, 16).Read the comment
