11But its swamps and its marshes will not become fresh; they will remain salty. 12On both sides of the river’s banks, every kind of tree will grow for food. Their leaves will not wither nor will their fruit fail, but they will bear fruit every month, because their water source flows from the sanctuary. - Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 13The ideal reallotment of the land to the twelve tribes of Israel is found in Ezekiel 47:1348:14. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 13-23The final section of the book of Ezekiel describes the boundaries of the land and how it will be divided among the tribes. In this section, theology (teaching about God) is shown through geography (the arrangement of the land). The way the land is organized has meaning.
